New subsidiary in Austria
Oa.sys baut GmbH is now part of Blumer Lehmann
The two timber construction companies entered into a strategic partnership in 2021. Since 1 January 2023, the Austrian oa.sys baut GmbH has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Blumer Lehmann. Both companies appreciate the added value that the merger provides them and their customers. ‘We are expanding our portfolio to include the services of oa.sys and, with production in Alberschwende in Vorarlberg, we are gaining another important base from which to tackle the Austrian and German markets,’ says Lukas Osterwalder, CEO of the timber and modular construction division in Germany and Austria.
Siegfried Kohler, the previous owner and managing director, is handing over operational management to a three-person management team as part of his succession plan. The management will be taken over by Andi Grabher from Vorarlberg, who was in charge of production in silo and plant construction at Blumer Lehmann for several years, as well as the previous oa.sys employees Maximilian Grass and Marcel Rudigier. "In sales and project development, I will continue to actively work for our customers in Austria and Germany as well as for joint, strategic projects," says Kohler. And on behalf of the whole team, Grabher promises: "Under the previous brand name oa.sys and with our own presence, we will offer our clientele and target group the usual all-round timber construction expertise".
Oa.sys will complement our German timber construction offshoots in Grossenlüder and Grafschaft as a production facility. The development, planning, production and assembly of timber constructions for customers in Germany and Austria will be carried out at one of the locations and by the planning and production team specialised for the requirements at hand.
